In this video Martin Marayo demonstrates his low cost but highly functional REAPER controller setup. He uses a Presonus Faderport, Samsung Android tablet running Touch OSC, and a Behringer BCR2000. This system he’s configured allows him to quickly access any track, add plugins, and control the parameters with touch screen or rotary encoders.
It’s a long video and it’s pretty rough but there are a lot of good ideas here.
I talked about Touch OSC a few years ago. Because I only have an iPhone 4, and not a lot of patience for customizing I really haven’t used it much since. A quick Craigslist search for “Samung Tablet” shows a 10″ tablet sells for about $175. That’s pretty affordable even if you only run Touch OSC on it for REAPER.
