Ever wish your favorite virtual monosynth could play chords? David Else from Learn Digital Audio has made a cool tutorial on a way to get any monophonic virtual instrument to respond to chords through some clever routing.

More specifically, the MIDI input gets split with a JS plugin so each note goes to a separate MIDI channel. Then the virtual instrument is duplicated and assigned a different MIDI channel.
