A couple months ago I recorded an hour long beginner mixing class for the newsletter subscribers and a month later I added another hour. Anyone that was interested in seeing these videos had to sign up for the newsletter and find the link to a long Youtube video. I got good feedback on those videos but there was something wrong with the presentation.
This week I found a way to make it significantly better.
Today I’m introducing the Courses section on The REAPER Blog.
I split up the long mixing classes into short segments and made it more into a proper course. I found a great WordPress plugin to present this content as a course that’s easy to go through step by step and it even tracks your progress.
You just have to enter your name and email to get access.
To get the most out of these courses you should take notes and follow along mixing the song on your own system.
This new format allows me to easily add new and related content or make corrections without replacing the full content. If you spot any mistakes or have questions you can leave them in the comments section at the bottom.

This new way of presenting/delivering the content is going to change how I approach making the content. I know this is a very good change for the site and audience.
