Using Parameter modulation on the JS Volume/Pan Smoother plugin to make a static 16th-note high hat more interesting and sit better in the groove. This can also be done with an EQ, pitch and other effects.
TL;DR
Add JS Volume/Pan Smoother effect
Enable parameter modulation for volume
LFO with Saw L shape, sync to 1/4 note, negative direction
adjust strength to taste
repeat for other parameters as needed.
