In this Quick Tip video tutorial Jon shows a way to easily phase align two recorded guitar mics.

Another reason why folder tracks are awesome!

If this tip is invaluably helpful, how about a little something in the tip jar?

    Simple but effective !
I like to use MAutoAlign from melda production for more complex scenarios:)

This is also super helpful for figuring out how your phase alignment is looking when recording drums.

For those that don’t have a system that reproduces low end super well or is mixing on headphones, it can be hard to tell if the inside vs outside kick mics are in phase. This can definitely help figure it out!

Very helpful but how do i resolve dynamic phase issues. I need help in a situation where i decided to adjust a duplicate parallelly processed track that either elastically stretches and compresses minutely in a keyframe level so as to align phase wise with the above track dynamically. Is that possible? Considering 1st track is an unprocessed while second track has a random pan automation written for the same. Because i want to create an SFX such a way that the original track remains static in a stereo feild but its duplicate will randomly get panned at 1/16th note precision using a sound toys plugin. The goal is to achieve slight movement inside the mix but not too drastic. That is why i am approaching this as parallel process in order keep its root essence. But this approach encountered new problems with phase issues that too the awkward phasic feel is very dynamic over the length. Only let’s say for up to 30 sec of here and there out of 90 sec tracks is sounding okay…rest is not good. Can you help me in this scenario ?
