I do a lot of stereo to mono work.
I have 2 keycommands that select either left or right mono channels of any item. 1 keycommand for mono sum and a custom action that duplicates the item on the same track, 1 with the mono L and the other with mono R.
Can you recommend me a custom action where I can duplicate an item on the track below instead of next to it on the same track?

Thank you and keep up the great community support for this amazing DAW!

      Hi !

Please download this and then import to your Action list. (Your Action list will NOT be wiped out :0)

These 2 custom made actions can duplicate an Item below or even above the track that it is on.

      Hope this helped !

It can be done with custom actions.

      something like:
      – copy items
      – move cursor to start of item
      – insert new track
      – paste items/tracks

You may also want to try the action “explode multichannel audio or MIDI to new one-channel items”

Thanks for that, the “explode multichannel” option was exactly what I needed for my project. Just got done recording a multitrack with a couple lavs and a shotgun mic and needed to separate each for post.

Very informative, but you lose the stereo L&R by putting both in one channel. Is there a way to output the voice channel to a headset and the stereo to speakers? Thanks
