This is a clip from Q&A #32 where Grant asked:
My mastering workflow involves 3-4 monitoring plugins that I always move over to my second monitor… every time. I have to move them over every single time I reopen a session or start a new one.
Is there a way for Reaper to remember the default window positions of certain plugins?

For this particular workflow we can use the monitoring FX chain, Screensets, and a Startup action.

1 – Add the plugins to the monitoring fx chain, it’s post-master and the same chain is available in all projects
2 – Set the position of the plugins on screen how you like
3 – Open Screensets/Layouts window and save a window set
4 – In the action list copy the command ID to load that screenset
5 – find ‘SWS set global startup action’ and paste the command ID.
