BBCSO Discover is an excellent free Orchestral instrument library from Spitfire Audio. In this video Erik Wikstrom takes us through the basics of using the instrument, and the template he’s made us to get started more quickly. He also shares his thoughts on the instrument design and features.
About the reaper project template:
- Each instrument in the orchestra on separate tracks
- Tracks colored to match plugin UI
- Expression, Dynamics, and Reverb linked as track controls
- Tracks in folders for organization
This is a REAPER Project template, and can be saved into the Project Templates folder. You may prefer to resave as a Track Template.

Jon – Does this template require a specific version of Reaper? I am still back on ver 5.9x.

Very nice template, thank you. I’m making a similar one for BBCSO Core but there are so many articulations and instruments it will takes ages to load. In Logic I would disable each track before saving… is there a way to do this in Reaper, so that it doesn’t attempt to load all the instruments up front, and I can just enable them when I need them?

I need it very much, because plugin interface is totally inaccessible for blind people. Hi I have just installed reaper and Spitfire. I would absolutely love the same thing. Iused to use cakewalk and it was so accessible with J sonar I couldn’t believe that the program didn’t exist anymore when I replaced my laptop last year. Did you manage to get a template and if so would you be willing to share it with me please. Thank you

Thank you so much absolutely fabulous template. I am vision impaired and just getting started with reaper wonder have you made any update on the one for BBC orchestra core as it would be absolutely amazing help to me. reaper is accessible with screen reader but the Spitfire audio has no way for me to navigate around without using my Magnifier. Thank you so much again.
I would love a template for BBC pro as well.
