How to use stock plugins in REAPER to replace or layer drums in a mix.

There are many different ways to do this in REAPER, as I’ve shown in a previous video, but in this project I’m using JS:Audio to MIDI Drum Trigger and ReaSamplomatic5000.

This mixing project I’m working on has heavily edited kick and tom tracks with some nasty cymbal bleed. Luckily they’ve provided clean drum hits to use for sample replacement.

It’s a good idea to record samples any time you record drums. It just takes an extra minute, and can save the day when its time to mix.

Using “Import item from arrange” allows me to grab a clean sample from the project to replace all the kicks
