Jon talks with Scott Hansen AKA Tycho about using REAPER’s Super 8 Looper for songwriting and live performances.

Tycho is among the biggest artists using REAPER and it was an absolute pleasure to have this conversation, and to find out he is also a fan of me!

One of the keys to using Super8 is having a good MIDI footswitch, unless you can pre-plan and sequence controlling the record and play functions.
Something I found really interesting from our conversation was that he uses an expression pedal for reverb send level. I don’t think I would have thought of that on my own.

I’m new with Reaper. How can I add drum maps in projects? I watched in tutorials that there was in the menu that lets you add drum maps. I guess that was in the old Reaper but with this Reaper 6 it’s not in the menu bar anymore. So is there a way to do it?

I think the menu names changed a bit with V6. Here’s where I find it
