great video. im gonna make something like this and then save it as a track template. im curious why you chose not to use midi. for example one track with three instances of reasamplomatic. is there any disadvantage to that approach?

You certainly could do that. I think a 1 or 2 bar MIDI pattern looped would work just fine. In my mind the method in the video is more accurate than with MIDI.
