Last week I participated in a mixing contest on a facebook group. The contest rules limited us to a handful of free plugins from Melda Productions, Stillwell Audio, Klanghelm and Softube. I was already familiar with the Stillwell plugins so I stuck with those along with the Softube Saturation Knob.
The song was pretty simple and the mix was completed within a few hours and my mix did well in the contest coming in 3rd.
This video is a look back at what I did in the mix. It’s not a ‘how to mix’ tutorial or even a guide to Stillwell plugins.
Note – The Plugins from Stillwell Audio are not free but work unrestricted as a demo.
