MP3 is dead they say. Not true, just the patents restricting the format’s use have expired. MP3 will still be widely used for quite some time.
Another popular compressed audio format is AAC, which has better sound quality compared to the same bit rate with MP3.
The OSX version of REAPER can render directly to the AAC format, this video shows you how.
