John, I’m a big fan and subsciber to your Youtube channel. Thanks for all you do. I think it’s time for me to financially support you and take it to the next level. Is Living in Reaper Vol. 3 the best way to start?
Also, it states that with this Vol. I will mix a pop link song. Are the tracks provided in this Volume ?
Can’t wait to hear back from you and get started.

      Hi Kurt
Vol 3 is a good place to start if you are comfortable with reaper and mixing in general.

      Multitrack session is included.

Hey John, Could we please also get some multi-track drums? Nothing too fancy just the basics like: kick, snare, toms, over heads, room
Saw the MIDI file in the session but I don’t have “good” sounding drums to work with..

Got you covered. There is a multi-channel drum stem you can download in lesson 3.

I am thinking about buying this session but I want to know if this is a lesson that will show me how to use Cockos (reaper built in) plugins to mix and master tracks effectively OR if it is going to be heavily involved with external plugins that I have to buy (like Waves, etc.). In have no interest in learning about external plugins. I want some one to use Reapers handy and underrated built in tools to show me the principals and useful techniques of mixing (not just workflow hacks).

The free beginner mixing course (parts 1,2,3) uses the built-in plugins exclusively. This mix wouldn’t be possible with the included plugins because: no drum sampler (I use Steven slate Drums 4 here), no virtual guitar amps (I use Amplitube, Helix and other free software). I use a few stock plugins here, ReaEQ on most tracks, ReaComp, ReaXComp, ReaDelay, ReaVerb (but not for reverb), JS:Transient Controller)

Hi, Jon! Are we allowed to use our mix of the song as part of our mixing portfolio? Is it possible to listen to the whole song somewhere like, Spotify, Youtube?
