I just finished rebuilding my mixer toolbar with optimized actions that really speed up my mixing workflow especially in big projects. In this video I’ll explain exactly how it works.

I have a set of buttons that filter the visible tracks by name.
My “bass” button selects any track with ‘bass” anywhere in the name, selects any child tracks of selected folders, hides all other tracks, scrolls the arrange view to top, and sets track selection to the first.

Because my mixing template has all tracks named a certain way, this will work with all of my upcoming projects.

Also on my toolbar I have buttons to copy and paste fx chains, open various windows like the routing matrix, track manager, monitoring fx, and snapshots.

It’s a bit of effort to set up but well worth it for the time you can save long term.

When creating the custom action I receive an error. It says “Error: Action creates infinite loop” Any thoughts? I just updated to the latest version. Thanks
