Exporting MIDI from a REAPER Project, as individual files or the entire project. What works and what doesn’t.

TL;DR

  • Export individual files from inside the MIDI editor with action “Export contents as .MID”
  • single file export will use item take name + new file name.
  • Export full project as a single MIDI file from main File menu “Export Project MIDI”
  • Project MIDI export will be all or selected tracks consolidated (no gaps).
  • Project MIDI export can include tempo map and project markers
  • Project MIDI export will not include take markers or regions.

How/when can we expect the ability to batch export midi files with out them being merged in to one midi file?
